Formación: (Tom Howie) “Desde pequeño siempre he estado involucrado en la música. De adolescente tocaba en bandas de rock y punk, y con la mayoría de edad lancé en Canadá un EP en solitario. Fueron buenos tiempos aquellos, pero después me mudé a Boston y, posteriormente, a Nueva York, donde estreché lazos con mi compañero en Bob Moses, Jimmy Vallance. Estudiábamos en el mismo instituto de Vancouver en cursos diferentes, pero una vez coincidimos hace unos años en Brooklyn decidimos remar en la misma dirección. Jimmy más que un amigo es como un hermano para mí, alguien que siempre está ahí y con el que comparto una conexión musical increíble”.
Imaginario: “Quienes han escuchado el disco nos han dicho que suena tremendamente sexy. Me parece muy divertido recibir este tipo de feedback. Personalmente no me gusta hablar del origen de cada canción porque encuentro que es algo muy personal. No obstante, el amor, las relaciones o el hecho de pertenecer o no a un lugar son los temas que más se manifiestan aquí. Diría que es un álbum muy melancólico, aunque con canciones que desprenden una gran fuerza por sí solas”.

They’re Canadian, but their HQ is in New York. That’s where Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance debut with “Days Gone By”, an album where electronica at its most sensual fuses to organic sounds, with astounding elegance.
Training: (Tom Howie) “Ever since I was little I’ve been involved in music. As a teenager I played in rock and punk bands, and when I was older I put out a solo EP in Canada. They were good times, but after that I moved to Boston and, later, to New York, where I strengthened ties with Jimmy Vallance, my bandmate in Bob Moses. We studied at the same secondary school in Vancouver, but did different courses, but we bumped into each other in Brooklyn and that’s when we decided we both wanted to move in the same direction. Jimmy is more like a brother than a friend to me, someone who’s always there and who I share a really incredible musical connection with”.
Imaginary: “Those who have listened to the album say that it sounds incredibly sexy. I think it’s brilliant to get feedback like that. Personally, I don’t really like going into the origins of each song because I find that it’s really personal. However, love, relationships or belonging (or not) to a place are themes that you’ll find here. I’d say it’s a really melancholy album, but there are songs that give off great strength on their own”.
