La directora catalana vuelve a ponerse tras las cámaras con ‘Nadie quiere la noche’, que se estrena este viernes, 27 de noviembre. Congelada, rodeada de inuits, y sin café en las venas, la directora se marca una peli histórica en un duelo a iglú descubierto con una Juliette Binoche más franca que nunca.
Nadie quiere la noche: “La película cuenta el viaje temerario de Josephine Peary (Juliette Binoche) para reunirse con su marido el explorador Robert Peary, en el glorioso instante de descubrir el Polo Norte. Una historia (real) de aventuras y supervivencia que cambiará su rígida manera de ver las cosas”.
Juliette Binoche: “Siempre se pensó en ella a la hora de interpretar a Josephine. Estaba convencida de que si leía el guion le iba a gustar y así fue. Trabajar con Juliette es una montaña rusa de emociones. Es una persona que no se conforma con nada y eso es un gran desafío, un estímulo brutal y también algo absolutamente agotador para un director. Además, no le importa pasar frío o hambre con tal de que el plano tenga lo que tenga que tener”.

The Catalan director is back behind the lens with ‘Nobody Wants the Night which premiere in Spain will be this Friday, 27th November’. Frozen, surrounded by Inuits and without coffee in her veins, the director has come up with a historical flick set in the midst of igloos, starring a franker-than-ever Juliette Binoche.
Nobody Wants the Night: “The film tells the terrifying story of Josephine Peary (Juliette Binoche) on her trip to join her explorer husband Robert Peary, at the glorious moment of discovering the North Pole. A (real) story of adventure and survival that would change their rigid way of viewing things”.
Juliette Binoche: “We always had her in mind for playing the part of Josephine. I was convinced that if she read the script she’d want to do it and that’s what happened. Working with Juliette is a rollercoaster of emotions. She’s someone who doesn’t conform with anything and that’s a huge challenge, seriously stimulating and also absolutely exhausting for any director. Also, she doesn’t mind being absolutely freezing or going hungry until the shot has what it needs to have”.
