080 Barcelona Fashion no es solo una plataforma para diseñadores y marcas, también lo es para las nuevas generaciones de estilistas y fotógrafos. Con esta idea, la organización de la pasarela organiza cada año un concurso de fotografía de moda que nuestra revista tiene el honor de dar nombre: Neo2 Photo Shoot Contest. Una convocatoria en la que participan en equipo una selección de fotógrafos y estilistas de las principales escuelas de fotografía y diseño de Cataluña. El objetivo es disparar durante 080, y en turnos, un editorial de moda con los modelos y la ropa disponible en la pasarela, más la experiencia del equipo de Redken & Raffel Pagés, peluqueros oficiales de 080. El briefing y las condiciones son las mismas para todos los participantes. Este año participaron 9 equipos. El jurado, formado por: Ramón Fano (editor), José Morraja (fotógrafo) y Javier de Juanas (estilista), eligió como equipo ganador a la pareja formada por la estilista Andrea Ávila Velasco y el fotógrafo Illa Bonany. El resultado lo tenéis en este post.
Entrevista con Andrea Ávila Velasco (estilista)
Illa: “Illa y yo no nos conocíamos, pero así todo fue muy fácil y agradable trabajar con él. Fue muy sencillos ponernos de acuerdo porque ambos perseguíamos una misma idea”.
Equipo: “La fotografía de moda te permite colaborar con un montón de gente interesante y creativa. Para realizar una buena sesión todos los profesionales que trabajan en ella son fundamentales”.
Referentes: “Para esta sesión de 080 mis referentes surgieron a la vez que visualicé el material del que disponíamos. Todo me lleva a una sensación que plasmé como idea visual. Una estética fría y húmeda de colores piedra, mármoles y texturas poco refinadas”.
Reto: “El hecho de tener que desarrollar una idea a partir de una base impuesta y hacer crecer el proyecto. Aprendes a trabajar de otra manera, y acabas haciendo cosas que en muchas ocasiones no te hubieses planteado hacer. Estoy contenta con todo lo que aprendí y, por supuesto, con el resultado final”.
Proyectos: “En otoño viajaré a Estados Unidos de prácticas en el departamento creativo de una importante empresa de la industria de la moda”
Entrevista con Illa Bonany (fotógrafo)
Andrea: “Ha sido un placer conocer y trabajar por primera vez con Andrea. Desde un principio nos entendimos y nos pusimos a trabajar en la misma dirección y línea creativa. Todo salió rodado”.
Fotografía: “Lo que más me gusta es poder crear un mensaje a través de las prendas”.
Referentes: “Mi trabajo como fotógrafo de moda está influenciado por la danza contemporánea. Artistas como Iroshi Sugimoto o Wolfgang Tillmans, diseñadores como Martin Margiela o Raf Simons forman parte de mi imaginario. También fotógrafos de moda como Pierre Debuschere o Matin Zad”.
Concurso: “Desde un principio planteamos una propuesta muy minimalista y sobria. Queríamos que los modelos fueran el sujeto principal de las imágenes y desarrollar un juego visual entre ellos”.
Proyectos: “Trabajar en el extranjero. Mi destino principal son los países escandinavos”.

080 Barcelona Fashion isn’t just a platform for designers and brands, it’s also a platform for the new generations of stylists and photographers. With that idea in mind, every year the runway organisation puts together a fashion photography contest that our magazine has the honour of lending our name to: Neo2 Photo Shoot Contest. An invitation in which a selection of photographers and stylists from the biggest schools of photography and design in Catalonia take part as teams. The aim is to shoot during 080 and, in turns, create a fashion editorial with the models and clothing available on the runway plus the experience of the team at Redken & Raffel Pagés, the official hairdressers for 080. The briefing and conditions are the same for all the participants, and this year 9 teams took part. The jury, formed of Ramón Fano (editor), José Morraja (photographer) and Javier de Juanas (stylist), chose the pair made up of stylist Andrea Ávila Velasco and photographer Illa Bonany as the winning team. On this post you have the results.
Interview with Andrea Ávila Velasco (stylist)
Illa: “Illa and I knew each other already, but that way it was all really easy and lovely working with him. It was really simple to agree on things because we were both after the same idea”.
Team: “Fashion photography allows you to work with a whole bunch of interesting and creative people. In order to make a good session all the professionals who work on it are key”.
References: “For this session at 080 my referencing came at the same time as I visualised the material we had available to us. It all gave me this sensation, and I used it to get a visual idea. A cold and humid aesthetic with stoney colours, marbles and rough textures”.
Challenge: “The fact that we had to develop an idea from an imposed base and make the project grow. You learn to work in another way, and you end up doing things that, on a lot of occasions, you would never have even thought about doing. I’m happy with everything that I’ve learnt and, of course, with the final result”.
Projects: “In autumn I’m going to the US on an internship in the creative department of an important company in the

Andrea: “It was a real pleasure to meet Andrea, and work with her for the first time. From the get go we understood each other and we got on with working in the same direction and creative line. Everything flowed”.
Photography: “What I like most is being able to create a message through the garments”. References: “My work as a fashion photographer is influenced by contemporary dance. Artists such as Iroshi Sugimoto or Wolfgang Tillmans, designers such as Martin Margiela or Raf Simons form part of my thought process. Also fashion photographers like Pierre Debuschere and Matin Zad”.
Competition: “From the very beginning we decided on a very minimal and sober idea. We wanted the models to be the main subjects of the images and to develop a visual play between them”.
Projects: “Working abroad. My principal destination is Scandinavia”.
